A Japanese Imari Bowl
c.1700-20
|
A very attractively decorated
Japanese Arita porcelain bowl decorated in the Imari palette
with a lot of Kakiamon influence. The base marked with a
imitation Chinese Ming dynasty reign mark. Measures
16.2cm. (6.4 inches) diameter and 8.9cm. high.
Please Note. The wooden stand is not included. |
Condition
Very good. No chips, cracks or restoration.
Just a little inevitable wear to the decoration, particularly
the rim gilding.

A Japanese Imari Fluted Dish
Early 18th.Century. |
A extremely attractive
Japanese Imari porcelain fluted dish dating from c.1720-30. The
flutes painted with various brocade patterns and flowering
plants, interspersed with Chrysanthemum heads. the centre
decorated with prunus flowers and twigs. The Worcester porcelain
factory used a very similar version or this pattern c.1760.
The dish measures 23.8cm. (9.4 inches) diameter. It has three
stilt marks to the centre of the base and is marked in
underglaze blue with an imitation Chinese Ming dynasty reign
mark. |
Condition
There is good quality professional
restoration to a small area of the rim, and a little wear to the gilding.

An unusual
Chinese export
porcelain plate decorated in Famille Rose palette. The
extremely intricate decoration is of exceptional quality and is
probably copied from a European prototype, possibly a Cornelius
Pronk design. Measures 22cm.
diameter. Unmarked. Dates from around 1740-50

Condition
Excellent. Just a couple of
tiny frits to the back of the rim.

A
pair of Chinese miniature vases. Painted in underglaze blue with
flower heads and leaves with a lappet border at the foot. The
shoulder with applied dragons. They are unmarked and measure
approximately 9.5cm. (3.75 inches) high.

Condition
Good. just a little fritting
to the rims.
