Superb Chinese Vegetable Tureen.
Early 19th.Century.
|
A Chinese yellow ground vegetable tureen and cover. Decorated
with stylised scrolling foliage and flowers with quatrolobed
reserves of landscapes on the cover and base. The base with a
four character Hall mark in iron red enamel. Measures 28.8cm. by
23cm.(11.3 inches by 9 inches and 12cm. (4.75 inches) deep including finial.

Condition
Good. Some wear to the enamels and gilding particularly to the
upper rim. No cracks or repairs.

A Nanking Cargo Teabowl
& Saucer

A
Chinese Eggshell porcelain teabowl and saucer from the famous
Nanking cargo. Decorated with a typical lakeland scene in
underglaze blue. The saucer measures 10cm. diameter.
The bowl 5.2cm. diameter and 3.6cm. high. |
Condition
There is a little restoration to fritting on the rim of both
pieces. Typical saltwater erosion to the glaze.

A Chinese Famille Rose Plate.
c.1730-40 |
An
Attractive Chinese export porcelain plate dating from the
Yongzheng or early Qialong period. Finely painted in famille
rose enamels. The rim decoration is particularly attractive with whorl
patterns , lotus flowers and floral reserves in bright enamelspatterns The back undecorated and
unmarked. Measures 22.7cm. diameter.

Condition
Good. Some fritting to the rim, mainly to the back edge.
One small retouched small chip to the front edge. No cracks . |

Chinese Imari Bowl.
c.1720-30.
|
A Chinese export porcelain bowl. Dating from the early
18th.Century. Charmingly decorated in the Imari palette
with a lady and child in a ornamental garden, with a lotus pond
and swimming ducks. The 'Jumping Boy' appears to be
holding a toy wind powered spinner. Measures 20cm. diameter.
The bowl has no marks.

Condition
Old repairs. There are
two cracks from the rim. Both cracks are secured with a
single staple that was probably added in the 19th.Century.
The
damage and repairs are not to noticeable. Remarkably the
brown enamelled rim is free from chips and has only a couple of
tiny glaze frits. Some inevitable wear to the gilding.
