An
English Decorated Chinese Teapot c.1750. |
A
Chinese export blue & white teapot c.1750. Over decorated
in England with the 'Stag Hunt' Pattern in polychrome enamels,
bianco-sopra-bianco and gilding. Probably decorated in
London with a pattern extensively used by the early English
porcelain factories, but originating in China.
The
pot measures 18cm. from handle to spout and 12.5cm. high,
including cover
Note. A Chinese
porcelain, English decorated teapot stand sold by Phillips
London, from the Bernard Watney collection (lot #7).
Probably painted by the same hand.

Condition Restoration
to the spout. Crack around upper handle terminal.
Fritting to the rim of the cover, and quite a lot of wear to
the gilding

A Chinese 'Mille-Fleur' Plate.

A Chinese 'Mille-Fleur' Style
plate. Decorated with an all over floral design in polychrome
enamels and gilding. The back of the rim decorated with three
flower sprays. The centre of the back with the six character
reign mark of the Emperor Guangxu (1875-1908) in iron red.
Possibly of the period, or certainly from the first quarter of
the 20th.Century. Measures 22.7cm. diameter |
Condition There is a 5cm. hairline
crack from the rim and a little wear to the decoration.

A Chinese Export Armorial.

A Late 18th.Century Chinese export Armorial porcelain tureen.
Decorated in underglaze blue and with ornate floral handles.
Both sides decorated with a coat of arms crest and motto
'H O C SECUPIOR', misspelt! Measures 19cm
across the handles and 8cm. high. There are no marks.

Condition
Unfortunately lacking it's
cover. Minor fritting and some wear to the enamel and gilding. No cracks. |

Rare Miniature or Toy, European Subject Teabowl & Saucer.
c.1760. |
A very
rare Chinese export porcelain miniature teabowl and
saucer. Decorated 'en grisaille' ( Penciled style in
black, grey or dark brown overglaze enamel with touches of
iron red and gilt.) with a seated European Lady and Gentleman
with two attendants, reading from a book, probably the Holy
Bible. This type of decoration generally termed 'Jesuit ware'.
The saucer measures 7cm. diameter, the teabowl 4.3cm.
diameter.

Condition Very
good, no damage, just a little wear the the enamels.
